Reiner Stach

Reiner Stach, born in 1951, studied philosophy, literature and mathematics, earned his Ph.D., then worked as a science editor and publisher of non-fiction books. Stach began working on his three-volume Kafka biography in 1996. In 1999, he organized the exhibition “Kafka’s Bride” (Frankfurt, Vienna, Prague), presenting the estate of Felice Bauer he discovered in the United States. Reiner Stach has lived in Berlin since 2009.
