Lutz Hachmeister

Lutz Hachmeister, born in 1959, studied communications in Münster and Berlin, earning his Ph.D. and postdoctoral degree in media history and contemporary history. He worked as an editor at the Tagesspiegel, as head of the Adolf Grimme Institute, and director of the Cologne TV and Film Festival. Hachmeister teaches journalism at Dortmund University and is the founding director of the Institute for Meda and Communication Policy (IfM) in Berlin.
