Ulla Lenze, born in Mönchengladbach in 1973, studied music and philosophy in Cologne. She lived as a writer-in-residence in Mumbai, Venice and Istanbul, travels has taken her to Lybia, Syria and Iran. Ulla Lenze lives in Berlin, where in addition to working as a freelance writer she also directs writing workshops.
