Gunter Scholtz (b. 1941) was Professor of Philosophy at the Ruhr University Bochum until his retirement. His publications explore the theory of the humanities as well as the philosophy of history, religion and art. Another area of expertise focuses on conceptual history. He lives in Bochum.
