Berlin Verlag

The Berlin Verlag was founded in 1994. Its profile is characterised by a judicious combination of ambitious literary titles and a range of non-fiction books focusing chiefly on contemporary political issues and aspects of everyday culture. It boasts a prestigious range of authors including Nobel prizewinners Nadine Gordimer and Elfriede Jelinek, Peter Esterhazy, winner of the Peace Prize of the Association of German Publishers and Booksellers, Peter Nadas, Margaret Atwood and Richard Ford. In 2003 the Berlin Verlag entered into a partnership arrangement with the London publisher Bloomsbury.
