Founded in 1924 in Vienna, Paul Zsolnay Verlag is with its long tradition and its prestige one of the leading publishing houses in Austria. In 1996 Zsolnay Verlag was acquired by Carl Hanser Verlag in Munich, but has remained in Vienna continuing to maintain its tradition of publishing high quality fiction and non-fiction of contemporary Austrian authors and international writers in translation.
