Bernd Mölck-Tassel, born in 1964, was appointed Professor of Book Illustration at Hamburg’s Academy of Applied Arts in 2005, prior to which he worked as an illustrator for magazine and book publishers across the globe. He first started writing and illustrating children’s books in 1989 and has since won numerous awards including the Troisdorf Picture Book Prize for Pozor (published by Bajazzo), also nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize.
