 Thilo Krapp

Potrait

Born 1975 in Herdecke; studied under Wolf Erlbruch in Wuppertal. He lives with his cat in Berlin and works as an illustrator and comic strip artist. He draws ducks, cats and crocodiles with great passion, always with a view to highlighting the wittiness of his topics; he fills his drawings with humour, but without losing sight of the drama lurking beneath the surface. His characters enter into a kind of exchange with whoever is looking at them, with the result that the topic in question is experienced as it were at first hand. Only in this way, Thilo Krapp believes, can a (children’s) book become an exciting and worthwhile reading experience.
