Tobias Krejtschi, born 27 August 1980 in Dresden, has been a student at Hamburg’s University of Applied Sciences since 2003, concentrating particularly on illustration under the aegis of Professor Bernd Mölck-Tassel and Professor Reinhard Schulz-Schaeffer in the School of Design.
In 2001 he illustrated the book Wie Hagen Siegfried feig erstach im Odenwald, bei Amorbach (‘How the cowardly Hagen stabbed Siegfried in the back in the Odenwald Forest, near Amorbach’); in 2004 he provided the illustrations for Anna Thiel’s children’s CD Lula und das fliegende Bett (‘Lula and the flying bed’).
In 2006 he won the illustration competition organised by the publishing house Peter Hammer and illustrated the picture book Die schlaue Mama Sambona (‘Cunning Mama Sambona’) which appeared in 2007 with text by Hermann Schulz.
