Bajazzo Publishers was founded in 1998 in Zürich by Ingrid Rösli und Thomas Minssen. They publish around nine picture books and children’s books every year. In total, five Bajazzo titles have been nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize. Countless other titles have been awarded prizes in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The house began its list with picture books for pre-schoolers and children’s literature. For some time now, they have regularly published books that are a „bit different“, aimed at readers of all ages – for example Jon Fosse’s Schwester [Sister] on the Spring 2006 list.
