Ravensburger Buchverlag, which was founded by Otto Robert Maier in 1883, publishes books for children and young people of all ages. There are picture books for very young children, first readers for children starting school, novels for children and teenagers and non-fiction for children, all bearing the blue triangle as a guarantee of high-quality products. Some 450 books are published each year, and a total of more than 1,700 titles are available. The company’s turnover amounted to EUR 41.6 million in 2003, from sales of more than 14.9 million books. Ravensburger Buchverlag has been the undisputed market leader in books for young children for years.
