The career trajectory of a literary translator rarely runs in a straight line. To help foster emerging translators, Translation House Looren in Switzerland is collaborating with the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia in Cairo and Litrix.de to offer a one-week mentoring workshop (July 18–24, 2016) for translators working from German to Arabic.
The deadline for applications is March 31, 2016.
The workshop will be attended by six translators who are just starting out on their translation careers. Two experienced mentors will accompany them as they work on their translation projects.
