Janosch Schobin, born in 1981, studied sociology, mathematics and Spanish and teaches as a private lecturer at the University of Göttingen. Previously, he was a research assistant at the Hamburg Institute for Social Research and spent research stays in New York and Santiago de Chile. His work focuses on the sociology of friendship, family, work and play, among other topics. He lives in Kassel.
