Lutz Seiler

Lutz Seiler, born 1963 in Gera, lives in Wilhelmshorst near Berlin and in Stockholm. After training as a builder he worked as a carpenter and bricklayer, then studied German Literature at Halle University. He moved to Berlin in 1990, working for some years as a waiter. He began to make his mark as poet in the mid 1990s, but then became known mainly for his prose. He has been the literary director and custodian of the Peter Huchel Museum in Wilhelmshorst since 1997.
