Michael Hagner

Michael Hagner, born 1960 in Bochum, studied Medicine and Philosophy at the Free University of Berlin. After posts in London, Lübeck and Götttingen he joined the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin. He gained his professorial ‘habilitation’ at the University of Göttingen in 1994. He has been Professor of Science Studies at the  Swiss Technical University (ETH) in Zurich since 2003.
