Wolfgang Bauer

Wolfgang Bauer was born in Hamburg in 1970. Having volunteered for the Bundeswehr, he subsequently resigned as a conscientious objector. After working in various different fields he took a degree course in Islamic studies, geography and history at the University of Tübingen. He lives in Reutlingen and works as a freelance journalist, and as a war correspondent for the weekly newspaper Die Zeit.
