Rüdiger Safranski

Rüdiger Safranski, born 1945 in Rottweil (Baden-Württemberg), studied Philosophy, German Literature and History and Art History in Frankfurt and Berlin. After several years as a research assistant at the Free University of Berlin he became co-publisher and editor of the Berliner Hefte series. He settled in Berlin as a freelance author in 1985.
