Peter Stamm

Peter Stamm, born 1963 in Weinfelden (Switzerland), completed an apprenticeship  in commerce, briefly studied English Literature, Psychology and Psychopathology, and undertook numerous jobs in a variety of places including Paris, New York and Scandinavia. He has lived in Switzerland since 1990, working initially as a journalist but then increasingly as a freelance writer of novels and of plays for stage and radio. His works have been translated into more than thirty languages.
