Birgit Weyhe was born in Munich in 1969. She spent her childhood and youth in East Africa and returned to Europe after completing her secondary education. She graduated in German language and literature and history in 1997 and turned her attention to art. In 2002, she began studying illustration at HAW Hamburg, where she received her diploma in 2009.
