Hans-Joachim Gelberg founded Beltz & Gelberg in 1971 in order to present a new kind of programme of books for children and young adults. Beltz & Gelberg offer the full spectrum of children’s and young adult literature produced by the Beltz publishing group: picture books, stories intended to be read aloud, children’s novels and contemporary novels for young adults, fantasy tales centred on animals, adventure stories, out-of-the-ordinary do-it-yourself books, and exciting biographies.
