Mixtvision
Mixtvision was established in 2006 with the aim of getting children more interested in reading and in good stories in terms of both their story-lines and their illustrations – stories that are entertaining, stimulating and imaginative; stories that carry a message, but one that is subtly conveyed rather than hammered home. Whether they are creating an artistic picture book for young and old, a book for reading aloud, or a novel for children or early teens, both new and well-established writers and illustrators have the freedom to develop and enhance their talents in full measure. This is what gives Mixtvision its distinctive profile with books that are sometimes daring, often innovative, and always well worth reading: impressively artistic picture books that put their trust in powerful illustrations; poetry volumes that combine the popular and the traditional; children’s novels that are fun to read and include subtle sub-texts relating to contemporary issues; quality young-adult books that in all sorts of different ways plunge into extreme worlds and offer teenagers useful friction surfaces as they deal with the thrills and spills of the coming-of-age phase of their lives. As well as offering particular kinds of content, Mixtvision also offers different kinds of narrative mode, so that right from the outset digital formats such as interactive picture-book apps and games, picture-book films, audiobooks and e-book serials focused on selected books from their assortment, have all been a trademark element of their activity.
