Klaus Schwarz Verlag

Klaus Schwarz Verlag was established in the city of Freiburg (Breisgau), Germany in 1969. A few years later, its founder and namesake, Dr. Klaus Schwarz, relocated the publishing house in Berlin. After Dr. Schwarz's death in 1989, Gerd Winkelhane assumed managerial duties.
The publishing house's program focuses on scholarly works in Islamic, Arabic, Iranian, Turkish, Central Asian, and Ottoman Studies.
The main series are: “Islam studies,” “Islam materials” (both edited by Gerd Winkelhane), “Studies on Language, History and Culture of the Turkic peoples”, “Philologiae turcicae Fundamenta” (both edited by György Hazai), other series include: “Arbeitshefte” “ANOR” (edited by Jürgen Paul und Ingeborg Baldauf), “Discussion Papers” (edited by D. Weiss and S. Wippel.) and the "Bibliotheca Islamica" from the Deutschen Morgenländischen Gesellschaft.
