Arno Geiger was born in 1968 in Bregenz and grew up in Wolfurt, Vorarlberg (Austria). He studied German Philology, Ancient History and Comparative Literatures in Vienna and Innsbruck, graduating in 1993. During the Bregenz Festival Arno Geiger worked as a video technician. In 1996 he was invited to the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition. Arno Geiger lives in Wolfurt and Vienna as a freelance writer.
