 Bettina Mathes

Bettina Mathes was born in 1963. She studied English/American Studies and German Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt/Main and earned a Ph.D. in Gender Studies from Humboldt University. She is a Professor of German and Women's Studies at Pennsylvania State University. She has published books on early modern culture, gender and media, and DEFA films.
