Christina von Braun was born in Rome in 1944. She is a cultural theorist, author and filmmaker. She has made some 50 films and published numerous books on the topic of gender roles and the history of ideas, as well as on the history of anti-Semitism. Since 1994 she has been a professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin.
