Christine Biernath was born on 4 March 1961 in Weilheim-Teck, Swabia. She worked for many years as a bilingual secretary, but after her marriage and the birth of her son Christopher she devoted herself increasingly to writing. Christine Biernath’s strength lies in her ability to deal with socially explosive issues in a way that appeals to the young. Her first two novels, "Innen sieht es anders aus" and "Bauchgefühl" established her reputation as a notable writer on youth-oriented topics.
