 Feridun Zaimoglu

Feridun Zaimoglu was born in Bolu, Turkey, in 1964. He has been living in Germany for over thirty years, and has been based in Kiel since 1985. He studied Art and Medicine at university, and now works as an author, journalist and writer of screenplays. His first book Kanak Sprak gained him cult status as an author. In November 2000 the film Kanak Attack, based on his novel Abschaum, was released on the big screen.
