 Jakob Hein

Jakob Hein was born in Leipzig in 1971. He is the son of the writer Christoph Hein. He studied medicine in Berlin and Boston and received his PhD in 2000 from Humboldt University of Berlin. He lives with his wife and two sons in Berlin and works as a doctor in the children’s psychiatric ward at the university hospital Charité. He most recently published the autobiographical family portrait Vielleicht ist es sogar schön [It might even be nice] and the novel Herr Jensen steigt aus [Mr. Jensen drops out].
