Martin Kluger, born in Berlin in 1948, studied English and linguistics in Oberlin/Ohio, Tübingen and Berlin. He lectured at the TU Berlin, worked as a literary translator and advertising copywriter and is one of the best-known screenwriters in Germany today. In 1998 he published the novel Die Verscheuchte (Scared Away).
Martin Kluger lives in Berlin and Montevideo.
