 Rüdiger Safranski

Rüdiger Safranski (b. 1945 in Rottweil / Württemberg) studied philosophy, German literature and history. After his studies, he was a research assistant at the FU Berlin and later became co-publisher and editor of the journal Berliner Hefte. After working at the journal, Safranksi spent four years as a lecturer in adult education. Since 1987, he has been living and working as a freelance writer in Badenweiler and Berlin. Rüdiger Safranski is Honorary Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Humanities at the University of Berlin.
