Tobias Elsässer, born 1973 in Stuttgart, is an author and a successful singer and song-writer. After a thorough grounding in singing and a number of successes in the field of music he began working as an editor and presenter in regional television. At the same time, Elsässer was also a lecturer in pop-music singing in Stuttgart.

After working as a reporter for Sat 1 news he made his debut as a writer with his novel Die Boygroup (‘The boy band’). His successful novel for younger readers Ab ins Paradies (‘Off into Paradise’) is due to be followed in early 2008 by his new book Vielleicht Amerika (‘Perhaps America’), published by Sauerländer under the Patmos imprint.
