Thomas Macho

Thomas Macho, born 1952 in Vienna, is a cultural historian and philosopher. He was Professor of Cultural History at the Humboldt University in Berlin from 1993 to 2016, where he co-founded the interdisciplinary Hermann von Helmholtz Centre for Cultural Technology. His research interests include the history of chronology, the cultural history of human-animal relations, and death and death cults.
