Nadia Budde was born in 1967 in Berlin. She worked in
advertising, before going on to study graphic arts at the Berlin Weissensee
School of Art. She was awarded the German Prize for Children’s Literature for
her first picture book, Eins zwei drei Tier (1999). Her subsequent
picture books, Trauriger Tiger toastet Tomaten (2000) and Kurz nach
sechs kommt die Echs (2002), were published by Peter Hammer Verlag, and won
numerous prizes. Her latest book, One two three me, was published by
Peter Hammer Verlag in 2003.
