Once upon a time, there was a famous children´s publishing house called »Boje Verlag«. Founded in 1949 in Stuttgart (Germany) and independent until 1986, it was loved by young readers, a premium partner for the book trade and a respected list among authors, illustrators and critics. Today, »Boje Verlag« belongs to VEMAG Verlags- und Medien AG, a publishing group located in Cologne which is about to strengthen their activities in the field of trade publishing. We live up to a special responsability for children as young readers and offer three fundamental experiences through our books:
-entertainment
-reflection
-knowledge
Such philosophy demands high quality standards in literary niveau, illustration, design and production. We are featuring German/Austrian/Swiss authors and illustrators and seek to find international partners to publish their works abroad – and we are open to buy in fine art, fiction and non-fiction from publishers and agents throughout the world. We plan to publish a list of 40 to 50 new titles per year:
-picture books
-non-fiction and activity
-stories to read aloud
-juvenile fiction (12+)
-children´s fiction
-audio books
Not right from the beginning, but in the long run we plan to add a paperback list.
