Kirsten Boie

Kirsten Boie, born 1950 in Hamburg, studied German and English Literature and went on to gain a PhD in literary studies. She worked as a teacher before beginning a career writing books for children and young adults. The creator of more than a hundred books, she has been awarded numerous literary prizes, and enjoys a reputation as one of Germany’s most highly regarded authors of contemporary children’s and young adult literature. Kirsten Boie lives near Hamburg.
