 Mark Benecke

Mark Benecke is a forensic biologist and one of only roughly two dozen specialists worldwide in forensic entomology. He was born in Rosenheim, Germany in 1970. Following his studies in biology, zoology and psychology, he completed special criminological training in the USA and Canada.

He is an expert consulted to analyze biological evidence in violent cases involving loss of life. He also teaches at police academies in Germany and abroad, at the FBI Academy, and is guest lecturer at universities in the USA, Canada, Columbia and the Philippines. Wo bleibt die Maus [Where’s the mouse] is his first children’s book. Mark Benecke lives and works in Cologne.
