Ninon Ammann was born in 1988 and lives in the Swiss Canton of St. Gallen. She trained as a designer in Zurich, before working as a graphic designer for various marketing and advertising agencies. She then completed a degree course in Non-Fiction Illustration at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Her children's non-fiction book about natural sponges was derived from her bachelor thesis.
