Profile

The publishing house Jacoby & Stuart was founded in March 2008 by the husband-and-wife publishing team of Edmund Jacoby and Nicola Stuart. Together with a committed staff, they work in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood.

The aim of Jacoby and Stuart is to publish first-rate children’s and YA books, innovative cookbooks, gripping novels, sophisticated graphic novels and intelligent non-fiction. Rather than just a business enterprise, the publisher sees itself as a cultural institution.

Internationally acclaimed artists the likes of Atak, Jutta Bauer, Rotraut Susanne Berner, Larissa Bertonasco, Aljoscha Blau, Blexbolex, Nadia Budde, Benjamin Lacombe, Lilli L’Arronge, Christoph Niemann, Axel Scheffler, Britta Teckentrup and Joëlle Tourlonias define its publishing program. Classics such as Albert Camus, Herman Melville, Edgar Allan Poe and Oscar Wilde, and celebrated writers like Davide Calì, Kate Di Camillo, Laurent Seksik and Bertrand Santini are among the authors published by Jacoby & Stuart.
