Litrix.de at the International Literature Festival Cairo 2017
Within the framework of the Cairo Literature Festival (11 - 16 February 2017) and the current Litrix.de special focus on the "Arabic World 2015-2017," the author Anna-Katharina Hahn will travel to Cairo for a reading and conversation with fellow authors May Telmissany (Egypt) and Milena Michiko Flašar (Austria). Anna Katharina Hahn will discuss her works and read an excerpt from her novel, My Mother’s Dress (2016).
My Mother’s Dress will soon be published in Arabic translation by Sefsafa Publishing House, Cairo with the support of Litrix.
Anna Katharina Hahn (b. 1970) studied German and English literature as well as folklore in Hamburg. She lives and works in Stuttgart. Hahn is considered one of the most important writers of her generation and her novels have received numerous awards, including the Roswitha Prize of the City of Gandersheim and the Heimito of the Doderer Literary Prize.
