Kirsten Reinhardt grew up in the Lüneburg Heath. Later she moved to Yokohama. Her debut, was awarded the Oldenburg Children's and Young People's Book Prize. She enjoys reading aloud and regularly works with children in workshops and theatre. She lives with her family in Berlin.
