Campus Frankfurt/New York is a highly successful independent publisher concentrating on economics and society. The company’s assortment covers a broad spectrum, with a particular focus on economics, politics and society, career pathways, business, finance, history, and social studies. Campus was founded in 1975 by Frank Schwoerer as a publishing company concentrating on economics and social studies. From 1995 to 2015 his son Thomas Carl Schwoerer was responsible for both its business affairs and its assortment, and under his leadership it evolved into a general-interest publisher. In 2015 the entire share capital of Campus Verlag was taken over by the Beltz Rübelmann Holding company, who had held a stake in the publisher right from its foundation. Campus Verlag’s books make significant contributions to socio-economic debates, present the most recent research findings, and offer critical analysis. Campus’s range of publications reflects the full variety of society and economics as a whole.
