Reclam Verlag
The Reclam Verlag was founded in 1828 in Leipzig by Anton Philipp Reclam, and the West German branch of the company has been in existence in Stuttgart since 1947. At its heart is its ‘Universal-Bibliothek’ (‘Universal Library’), which publishes not only German and European literature but, among other things, philosophy and texts from antiquity. Volumes in its ‘Universal-Bibliothek’ series have appeared in Reclam’s trademark yellow covers since 1970. Over time Reclam has extended its range of formats to include bi-lingual editions, foreign-language texts, reading guides, non-fiction books and e-books.
