Verlagsanstalt Tyrolia GmbH is an Austrian publishing house that also runs a chain of bookshops.
Tyrolia is a founder member of the publishing collective ‘Verlagsgruppe engagement’, set up in 1970 by ten middle-sized publishers in order to focus on religion and theology. Its aims include the mutual exchange of ideas, joint initiatives in both publishing and advertising, and above all the enhancement of their lists of religious books written in the modernising spirit of the Second Vatican Council.
