Luchterhand Literaturverlag

The Luchterhand Verlag, founded in 1924, is regarded as one of Germany’s chief publishers of major literature. Luchterhand publishes such prize-winning authors as António Lobo Antunes, Louise Glück, Karl Ove Knausgård, George Saunders, Leïla Slimani and Elizabeth Strout, along with distinguished representatives of German-language literature such as Marica Bodrožić, Sherko Fatah, Christian Haller, Franz Hohler, Christoph Peters, Ferdinand von Schirach, Juli Zeh und many others. Among these, both Saša Stanišić (Herkunft; ‘Where You Come From’) and Terézia Mora (Das Ungeheuer; ‘The Monster’) have been winners of the German Book Prize.
