Voland & Quist was founded in 2004, and is a beacon of literature that is young, urbane and perfectly in tune with the age. The company chiefly offers books written by young authors, spoken-word poetry, children’s books, and novels and stories written by Eastern European authors. Marc-Uwe Kling, Sarah Bosetti, Kirsten Fuchs and Ahne have all performed for Voland & Quist in live stage events. In the field of spoken-word poetry the company is fronted by some of Germany’s most popular poets, including Nora Gomringer, Lydia Daher und Bas Böttcher. And Voland & Quist’s series ‘Sonar’ enriches Germany’s literary landscape with first translations of young writers from East, South and Central Europe, including Ivana Sajko, Victor Martinovich und Ziemowit Szczerek.
