Michael Sontheimer

Michael Sontheimer, born 1955 in Freiburg, studied History, Political Science and Media Studies at the Free University, Berlin. In 1979 he was one of the founders of the tageszeitung (taz). In 1984 he became an editor and later a contributing writer at the weekly newspaper Die Zeit. From 1992 to 1994 he was editor-in-chief of the tageszeitung, and then became an editor, correspondent and feature writer at Der Spiegel.
