René Wildangel, born 1973 in Rheinbach (North Rhine-Westphalia), studied History, German Literature, Politics and Arabic in Cologne, Jerusalem and Damascus. He has worked as an expert advisor in the German Foreign Office and the Bundestag and in the House of Representatives in Washington. From 2012 to 2015 he was head of the office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Ramallah.
