Ullstein was founded in 1877 as a newspaper publishing house by Leopold Ullstein. In 1903, the book publishing division was established under the direction of editor Emil Herz. Even back then, the publishing house had a vision of combining great literature with the aim of entertaining its readers. Today, Ullstein Buchverlage brings together diverse, relevant voices under one roof.
