Boje Verlag in der Bastei Lübbe GmbH & Co. KG

Founded in 1949 in Stuttgart, the Boje Verlag was for decades one of the leading children’s-book publishers in Germany. Boje Verlag has been home to scores of renowned authors, and their programme notably includes a large number of picture books from the limitless imagination of James Krüss, which are soon to be made available again in new editions.
Since the middle of 2010 Boje has been based in Cologne as part of the Bastei Lübbe group, and in 2023 was incorporated into the Baumhaus imprint. Its assortment embraces books focusing on play and activities, picture books, books for children and young adults, and non-fiction books.
