The Siedler Verlag, which was founded in 1980 by the publicist Wolf Jobst Siedler but has been under the umbrella of the Random House Publishing Group since 1993, is considered one of the most prestigious publishers within the German-speaking countries of high-quality non-fiction books on political, historical, social, cultural and scientific topics.
